It was some great games with NEC, we ended up not having enough people to have any real THG vs NEC games other than the last game, which was the 5 THGers with 2 randoms and 1 NECer. Those game details can be found here. We repped it well with a 100-44 win in BTB TS on Hemorrhage. The rest of the games were a pretty even mix of the two groups.

We started out with a game of Juggernaut on a pretty good remake of Headlong where we discovered that Dizz + Texas host + Juggernaut = EPIC SHENANIGANS. Next we did a little mongoose racing to change things up from the norm a bit. Once again we discovered that Dizz and his Texas host are ridiculous, he might not have won but somehow, while everyone else had a top speed of around 95, his was 129. And the fact that he had a top speed that was 34 mph faster than everyone else and he still got 9th is probably also because he's Texan, 3rd worst drivers behind women and asians.

After that we took it into the BTB playlist because, as someone so eloquently put it, "Let's kill something." The games were about 15 minutes long apiece and chock full of that good ole Texas host that we've all come to know and hate. But it was good times all around. The guys from NEC were a great group to roll with, and most importantly appeared to have no qualms making gay comments, which is a quality we always look for in our fellow gamers.

Here's a couple clips from the games tonight just to give you a quick view of the tomfoolery taking place. Thanks to everyone who got on, THG and NEC, it was a fun time all around and I know I will definitely be looking forward to any future games with NEC.

It is time for me to announce that the VaN is expanding. No, were are not getting a larger VaN. Instead, we are just cramming more sweaty bodies into the same small, semen stained shame filled VaN. The two gentlemen I present to you are not only becoming full fledged VaN members, but also being promoted on the site. So, with that I present our newest Made Man and our newest Soldier.

Flawless J: The VaN has been well acquainted with Flawless for many years now, as he was a member of various rosters in the former AoR. We all became friends over time, and I was ecstatic to see his application when recruiting began after the XBox Live Community playdate. I knew when I first met Flawless that he was VaN material. I made a racist joke, Flawless retaliated with a gay joke. We both laughed. Then I was sent a message informing me that Flawless was indeed black. My bad But in all honesty, the J-man is one of my favorite people to roll with. Great attitude at all times, always puts in a lot of effort, and one classy motherfucker. For The VaN, this is all a formality because you have always been raping in our VaN. Welcome to the brotherhood sexy.

Puddnutz a.k.a. Nimrod Genocide: After the playdate, I was sent almost 20 applications from peeps that I did not know. After removing the applications that were too young or too proper, Pudd was still here. After the first 2 months, Voodoo, Renegade, Rush, and I had proper fucked most of the recruits, and many could not handle the heat and left. Pudd was still here. After attendance dropped due to lack of hardcore interest in Reach, some recruits stopped showing up. Pudd was still here. And after I personally removed some recruits due to their shitty attitude, Pudd was still here. My man shows up almost everyday, takes all criticisms sent his way, has greatly improved his all-around play, and has somehow earned the respect of all veteran VaN members. You may have volunteered for this crazy madness, but now you may never leave the back of this VaN. Welcome.

Mini: Our boy has been raping in The VaN for almost 2 years now. He came out of nowhere in AoR and was the lone recruit when The VaN went looking for a new fourth late 2008. We knew almost immediately that Mini was a perfect fit for our team. I won’t mention that Aneurysm had some major doubts about our boy at that time. Oops. He is perverted, obnoxious, extremely short (doesn't have to drop to his knees), a good teammate, and a good guy. I have LAN'd at his house in Pittsburgh, given his wife a big ole' love hug, and held his toddler daughter on the couch while watching SpongeBob Squarepants. That is a lot trust right there, and I consider Mini one of my closest friends in The VaN. This promotion is long overdue, though titles such as Made Man mean nothing when you are all naked in the back of The VaN.

Renegade: Oh man, where do I start here? If you do not know who this guy is, you are blind, deaf, and retarded. If you are new here, he has most likely introduced himself to you one way or another. If you are a veteran here, you have definitely had a handful of run-ins with Renegade. He is brash, vulgar, and speaks his mind at all times. Basically following The VaN code of conduct word for word. But what you do not know about Renegade is that once you get to know him as well as I do, he is nothing but a big cuddle bear. He was a fun guy to hang with at the Chicago combine, and he is also the only person who has asked me to stop my car so he can open the door, hang his head out, and puke on the entrance to Southwest Airlines at O'Hare airport in Chicago. For all the work he does in The VaN and in the forums, this promotion is well deserved.

I am here to announce the promotion of Billeh to Soldier. Recommended by his good friend and fellow soldier, Reaper, Billeh has come from being a complete unknown into a well respected member in Conviction. Since the inception of Conviction, Billeh has stepped up above and beyond the call of duty. He has risen from the ranks as a regular member to now being promoted to Staff. In his spare time outside of Halo, he is a church going individual that loves spending time with his girlfriend. On behalf of everyone on Conviction, we would like to say congratulations!
